Born Jeremy Jamal Jones  in Jackson, Mississippi but later relocated with his mother to Detroit at a very young age. Was raised by a strong single mother who attempted her best to shelter him from the harsh streets. His love and skill of basketball granted him to be recruited for a prominent military high school. Never really knowing his father instilled an arrogance and rebellion attitude within him. Although his relationship with his pastor and sons guided his early faith in God as well as detoured him from trouble. His passion for basketball taught him how to play the game. That game later became the same streets his mother worked very hard to protect him from. His daily bus ride to and from school, exposed him to the harsh realities of life. Although he graduated from high school in 1999. After 1yr of playing college ball he returned right back home to the streets. With options running low, he began to take rapping more serious. His music career started gaining momentum when he joined forces with his neighborhood friends in a group called MadeWest. Known as A1, he quickly began to receive recognition for his musical talents. Growing up on Joy rd, his surroundings finally drew him into the fast money addiction. This addiction was over come after being arrested decades later for drug dealing. Upon his arrest an epiphany occurred to him to change his life. He reflected on the time in 1993 his childhood friend Lester Mitchell first introduced him to becoming a rapper with his recorder at the pool clubhouse in Warren Manor, over a Kriss Kross track. During this time, he also renewed his close relationship with God. While sitting in his cell he realized everyone there was arrested for the same senseless crime. He was released a lost man now awakened who vowed to reunite with God and deliver positive, inspirational music thru his lyrics. Sun ChEyEld's new mission is to uplift the youth and help guide his community to strive thru his music. He describes his music as soul musiq with content and substance or truth musiq. Inspired by many musically, it was Ice Cube who influenced him the most by showing that you can accomplish anything no matter where you are from. Through his music, Sun ChEyEld plans to help and touch people across the globe. He truly believes, that he can be the voice for the misguided youth and lost ones due to him once being young and lost too. He also coaches a youth basketball team at New Providence Baptist Church to help mentor young men in a sports capacity. Sun ChEyEld changed his direction in life, and will help the youth as well as others do the same with his leadership and music.
